The

hexadecimal

number

system

may

seem

confusing

if

you

are

not

familiar

with

it,

but

it

has

become

the

standard

of

the

microcomputer

field

and

is

clearly

the

best

system

with

16

bit

addresses

and 8

bit

data.

It

is

usually

not

necessary

to

convert

between number

systems,

as

this

is

usually

done

by

software

(i.e.

assemblers).

Remembering a few

in

should

make

things
